How to Enrol in a Class
You need to be a U3A Brisbane member before you can attend a class. However, you should enquire about a class from the tutor before joining as some of our popular classes may be full at certain times.
To enrol, either contact the tutor directly or enrol through the Class Search page by clicking on a class of interest. You will see a button labelled 'Enrol in This Class'. Click that button and you will be asked for your membership number and surname for identification purposes. You do not need a login password in order to enrol in a class.
The tutor will need to confirm your enrolment and will advise you if a class is already over-subscribed.
Some classes have requirements for pre-existing knowledge, e.g. computer classes.
All enrolment applications are provisional until the tutor confirms that you have a place in a class.
In any direct communications with a tutor please advise your U3A Brisbane membership number, or indicate your intention to join.
How to Cancel a Class Enrolment
You can cancel an enrolment online by using the same process as to enrol. Find the class under Class Search and click on the Enrol button. The system will ask for your membership number and surname, and will then recognise that you are enrolled and invite you to Cancel.
For classes at our City Campus venues (Creek St or Adelaide St), there is a weekly class fee of $5 to cover the cost of the premises, but classes at other venues are often free of charge. Classes held in the City Campus Computer Lab must be paid upfront for the term. Some classes may incur a small fee for resources, room hire or printed notes. Class fees are paid at each class session, or in the first week of term where fees are payable upfront. Information about fees for a particular class is usually given in the class details.
