The true magic happens when you know more about how and why music is made. During this course, you'll be listening to extracts from a wide selection of the great music of yesteryear, as well as modern musical styles. You'll also experience a substantial increase in the psychological benefits of listening to music.We explore music as an art in many categories. 'MUSIC IS MAGIC' and with your increased general understanding about how music is made', and 'why you are attracted to certain genres, you'll also experience a substantial increase in the psychological benefits of listening to it.
The ability to read and/or perform is not necessary.
About the Tutor:
Bernie’s long career in music encompasses: Professional trumpet playing;Teaching classroom music;
Lecturing in ”music" and "music-teacher education" (QUT);Adjudicating; and
Conducting Orchestras and Bands.
Bernie has been awarded an OAM for service to music through brass and concert bands. (2019)
