Tutor: Albert Moran
This term sees us continue our interest in films about Irish women whether as characters, in leading roles, as writers, technicians or, occasionally, directors. Some of our films have been produced in the country with Irish or European finance while others have originated elsewhere. There is no single type or genre so that we move around watching romances, dramas, political/historical stories, comedies, mysteries and other kinds of stories. Some are very recent while others are well-known classics. Many have not been screened in Australia before, mostly due to their low budgets. This makes the course an opportunity to watch them.
